Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely! We encourage fitness levels and we’ve made Kink Pilates a safe space where we seek to mutually motivate, inspire and uplift. If you are brand new to Pilates you can look for our REFORMER x fundamentals classes - those move a little slower and cover the basics. If you need to book into another type of class, we recommend getting to class a bit early and letting your instructor know. They will be happy to provide you with extra attention and modifications throughout your class. If there is something specific you are looking to address and want more one-on-one time, book an introductory private session at Kink.

  • Why yes we do. Thank you for asking. New clients can take either one class for $35 or three classes for $89. If you are brand new to Pilates - we strongly encourage the “3-pack” - one class isn’t really enough to know if the reformer is right for you. If you’ve taken other Pilates classes and are just trying out the studio - we are pretty confident one class is all you’ll need. IYKYK, right?

We also have an introductory private session for $95.

  • We’ve worked hard to make our prices clear, fair and transparent. We have a lot of options so you can balance flexibility and cost. If your life is a little unpredictable and you want classes that have a longer expiration period, class packs might be right for you. Or, you can save a lot (~30%) by becoming monthly members. A membership will include an auto-renewing payment and any classes that you don’t use during the 30-day window won’t roll over to the next month. Memberships are a great way to stay committed to working out.

  • Here’s when not to arrive… 5 minutes after class starts. Please arrive 10 minutes early to your class. For safety reasons, any instructor may prohibit anyone arriving more than 5 minutes late from joining the class. Warm-ups are vital!

  • For both hygiene and safety, grip socks are compulsory. We have socks available for purchase at the studio but you may have a pair of your kids old trampoline-park socks in the back of a drawer. Those work too! Other than that, just wear something you feel comfortable in.

  • Yes, we definitely recommend adding yourself to the waitlist. More often than not, you will get in! Our clever booking system will automatically add you into the class and you’ll receive a text or an email.

  • You can cancel classes through this website or the Kink Pilates app. Unfortunately, if you cancel with less than 24 hours, the class will be forfeited. For private sessions, please text/call/email the studio to cancel or reschedule. We require 24+ hours notice or the session will be charged/forfeited.

  • Yes! Most classes suitable for pregnancy. The only one that’s not is REFORMER x jump. Depending on how far along you are, our instructors will guide you in making safe modifications. Do belong to a pre-natal group? Contact us about pre/post-natal classes you can do with your crew.

  • we recommend 2-3 times per week. It’s low impact so you could actually come every day!

  • If you are lucky, right on Moody Street (or our cross streets Pine & Gordon). The closest and most convenient parking lot is the Crescent Street Lot.
