Meet Our Education Director
Jill Rothenberg
Jill Rothenberg is a Boston-based Master Pilates Instructor, Educator, and Mentor with nearly a decade of full-time teaching experience. Her Pilates journey began classically with Jimmy Raye — a second-generation instructor who studied under Romana Kryzanowska and took over Joseph Pilates’ original studio in New York City. Working with Jimmy not only laid the foundation for Jill’s deep respect for the method but also changed her life during a time of personal struggle — a testament to the transformative power of Pilates.
After moving to Boston for college, Jill completed her first comprehensive certification through Balanced Body, which launched her career and ignited a deep passion for teaching. Over the years, she expanded her training across contemporary styles, becoming a Master Instructor through both Pilates Academy International and Pilates Sports Center.
Today, Jill serves as the Education Director at Kink Pilates, where she leads instructor certifications and mentorship with a commitment to substance over aesthetics. Her students graduate with more than just technical knowledge — they learn how to sequence thoughtful classes, adapt for real clients, and develop their own voice as instructors. She also prepares them for the professional realities of the industry, including auditioning and standing out in competitive studio spaces.
Jill is known for helping instructors grow into confident, authentic teachers who leave a lasting impact on their clients and communities.
